Getting Started
Quickstart
Create an account, publish an event site, and open registration in minutes.
This guide walks you from zero to a shareable event link. You do not need prior EventOS experience. Follow each step in order.
Open the organizer app and create an account with email or Google.
After signup you land on the dashboard: a list of your events (empty at first) and a button to create one.
Create an event
Choose Create event and fill in the basics:
- Event name: shown on the public site and emails (for example “Design Meetup April”)
- Slug: short URL segment guests will see; keep it simple and stable (
design-meetup-april) - Start and end: used for “upcoming” display and agenda sorting
- Timezone: all public times use this zone
- Location type: venue, online, or hybrid
Save to open the event workspace. From here you configure the site, tickets, attendees, and more for this event only.
Set up the public site
Open Website (sometimes labeled Details / branding). Add enough for guests to trust the page:
- Logo and banner / hero image
- A short about description
- Sections you need (agenda, speakers, FAQ, venue)
Your event is already reachable on a platform subdomain even before custom domains. Guests do not need accounts to view the site.
Add a ticket
Open Tickets and create at least one type so people can register:
- Free: RSVP with optional capacity
- Paid: price, currency, and inventory
If you need fields beyond name and email (company, dietary needs), create or attach a registration form to the ticket.
Optional: ask AI
Open AI in the event workspace. Describe what you want in plain language. The assistant drafts objects you can review, then apply.
Create Early Bird and General Admission tickets for a 100-person workshop
Always read the draft (prices, capacity, field labels) before applying.
Share and register
- Copy the public event URL from the workspace.
- Open it in a private/incognito window as a guest would.
- Complete a test registration yourself.
- Confirm you received the email (if enabled) and that the attendee appears under Attendees.
Only then share the link on social, email, or community channels.
What to do next
Once the basics work, deepen the setup:
- Polish branding and sections on the event website
- Add pricing rules and coupons under Tickets & pricing
- Plan door flow with Check-in
